A multisensory, layered piece with lots of texture in beautiful blue and white with tiny hits of glossy gold. I used a printmaking technique called chine-collé in combination with gelli plate printmaking to add additional depth to this piece. A layer of tissue paper was printed on with a design and then adhered to the heavier support sheet. The glue makes the tissue paper transparent yet wrinkles appear, making interesting marks across the surface.
 
Acrylic with chine colle on tissue paper, art measures approximately 16x20" on 80 lb, 130 gsm, acid-free 18x24" paper framed in a 20x24" brushed gold frame with white mat.
